Bayern Munich are in talks with Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembélé over a free transfer, according to French outlet L’Équipe.

Dembélé, who has not been able to strike a new deal with Barça, ends his contract at Camp Nou next month.

The France international is Bayern’s first choice to replace Serge Gnabry, who is likely to leave the club in the summer.

The German winger’s contract expires in June 2023 and so far he has not accepted the renewal proposals presented to him by the Bundesliga club.

After sounding out Dembélé in January, Bayern have now entered talks with his agent. Dembélé attracted interest from Bayern when he was at Borussia Dortmund before he was eventually signed by Barça.

Nagelsmann happy to sign winger

Bayern head coach Julian Nagelsmann has already given his approval to both Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic.

Bayern are hoping to take advantage of Barça’s failure to extend the player’s deal and offer him a four-year deal with a salary worth €18 million.

PSG are also interested in the tricky attacker.
