NEYMAR
Brazil star Neymar’s post-injury party: “He has a broken leg but was dancing like crazy”
The Al Hilal attacker tore his ACL in his country’s match against Uruguay in October and was operated on in Belo Horizonte on Thursday.
Former Barcelona star Neymar’s career has been severely hampered by a number of injuries, the latest of which saw him tear his anterior cruciate ligament during Brazil’s World Cup 2026 qualification match away to Uruguay. On Thursday, the 31-year-old underwent surgery in Belo Horizonte in his homeland and will now begin the long road to recovery.
How long will Neymar be out for?
Now playing for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, the attacker will miss the rest of season and possibly next summer’s Copa América. However, it has been suggested that the injury hasn’t been getting him down too much, according to a guest invited to a party held at his mansion in Mangaratiba near Rio de Janiero. A long list of Neymar’s friends and relatives were said to be in attendance, as well as a number of influencers and models.
Brazil star’s party “rules”
The guests, who arrived and left in a van rented by the player, were treated to a variety of Japanese food, including sushi, and played poker while sipping on cocktails made by bartenders who were hired for the event. One source has revealed one of the “rules” guests had to follow, which had been imposed by the ex-PSG forward.
Upon arrival, Neymar’s security personnel took attendees’ phones from them in attempt to ensure none of the goings-on were leaked to the media. The same source also joked that a visit to the Brazilian’s mansion was the best way to do a digital detox. “I’m going to come to Neymar’s house once a month to detox from my cell phone. More than 12 hours without looking at my phone. You can’t use it inside, you can’t take any photos.”
Torn ACL not enough to keep Neymar off the dance floor
They also passed comment on Neymar’s behaviour at the party, which didn’t appear to be entirely in keeping with someone who had just suffered a serious injury. It was claimed Brazil’s all-time top scorer continued “dancing like a madman” despite his torn ACL. “He might’ve broken his leg on the field, but he dances like crazy on the dance floor.”
Current partner Bruna Biancardi, who gave birth to the couple’s daughter Mavie less than a month ago, appears less than impressed with her boyfriend’s latest partying tales. “Don’t expect a person to change if they don’t see a problem with what they do.”
