Cavani snubs Valencia as Boca Juniors move bubbles
The Uruguayan striker was supposed to turn up at Valencia’s Paterna training centre with club still negotiating his departure.
Valencia and Edinson Cavani are playing a game of chess with the goal for the Uruguayan striker to secure an exit from the LaLiga side as Rubén Baraja feels the striker is surplus to requirements. The player was supposed to show up at the club’s training centre on Saturday but failed to show.
The Uruguayan was left out of the pre-season games in Slovakia and Switzerland along with other fringe players Racic, Cömert, Marcos André and Castillejo. Cavani has not communicated to the club as why he was absent from training and declined to exercise with the club’s physical training team.
Cavani intends to leave Valencia with immediate effect and there are no shortage of offers with Boca Juniors in pole position to secure his services with the player anxious to close the move as soon as possible.
