As we reach matchday four of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League group stage, a handful of teams are on the cusp of mathematically securing a place in the next stage of the competition with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City one of those few sides.
The Catalan coach takes his City side to the Danish capital where they face FC Copenhagen, knowing that a win or even a draw would be enough to secure a berth in the Round of 16 of the competition. The ‘Sky Blues’ objective is, however to secure top spot in Group G and, in theory, secure an easier path in the knockout stage with City’s trickiest group stage test coming in matchday 5 as they travel to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund.
