Champions League winners: every team to lift the trophy and how many titles they have
Real Madrid remains the competition’s most successful club, but a number of teams have etched their names into European soccer history.
Paris Saint-Germain has made history once again.
Luis Enrique’s side retained the Champions League title after defeating Arsenal in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw through regulation and extra time. The 2025-26 Champions League campaign came to an end with PSG lifting the trophy for a second consecutive season, becoming the first club since Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid to successfully defend the European crown.
The all-time Champions League honors list
Real Madrid remains the undisputed king of European soccer.
The Spanish giants’ 15 Champions League titles place them comfortably at the top of the all-time standings. They also hold the record for the most appearances in the final.
AC Milan sits second with seven European crowns, while Liverpool and Bayern Munich share third place with six titles apiece.
Barcelona and Ajax follow with five and four Champions League trophies, respectively.
As a result, Spain remains the most successful nation in European Cup history. Real Madrid’s 15 titles and Barcelona’s five give Spanish clubs a combined total of 20 European crowns.
England ranks second with 15 titles overall. Liverpool (6), Manchester United (3), Nottingham Forest (2), Chelsea (2), Manchester City (1) and Aston Villa (1) are the English clubs that have lifted the trophy.
Italy rounds out the top three nations with 12 European Cups, thanks to AC Milan (7), Inter Milan (3) and Juventus (2).
