Chelsea have Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on their radar
Boehly will continue to insist on top signings so Pochettino can lift Chelsea.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia surprised everyone last season when he and Napoli were crowned Serie A champions and, from then on, several clubs began to monitor the Georgian forward.
The 22-year-old’s 12 goals and 13 assists last season helped end a 33-year Serie A title drought in Naples.
Chelsea, since the arrival of Todd Boehly, have made a habit of making signings regardless of cost, with Moises Caicedo being the most recent example, joining from Brighton.
ESPN report that Boehly is looking to make a move once again and Chelsea are keeping a close eye on Kvaratskhelia as they look to bring him in as a key signing.
Kvaratskhelia is under contract with Napoli until June 2027 and there is already talk that they have discussed a renewal, however, the same sources mention that the Georgian player would be valued at €100 million ($109m), while Transfermarkt values him at $93 million.
Chelsea’s Plan B
If the mission for Kvaratskhelia fails to materialise, ESPN report that their other options would be between Napoli striker Victor Osimhen or Brentford’s Ivan Toney.
