Real Madrid have benefitted from scouting in Brazil in recent years and it could be there where they land their next forward. Santos forward Marcos Leonardo is attracting interest from Los Blancos ahead of a possible move to the Santiago Bernabéu.

This newspaper previously reported that there had been contact between Madrid and the 20-year-old talent in order to inquire about his situation. Leonardo is now reportedly ready to make the leap to a top European club. The only question is which one. Rafaela Pimenta, his agent, said in an interview that he is ready for a new adventure and he is not going to be short of options as according to the latest information published by Globo, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Newcastle United are all interested.

Olympic Games in Paris

Leonardo - aware of the interest he is attracting - is clear about his ambitions. Globo add that the striker wants to feel important at the club he joins and he is determined to represent Brazil at the Olympic Games in Paris next summer.

Last summer, he was very close to signing for José Mourinho’s Roma, however, Santos closed the door on a move. Now, determined to fulfil his dream of reaching the Olympic Games with the Canarinha and with several European giants after him, a move to Europe this time looks more likely.
