Christian Pulisic is looking to rediscover his best form with Milan, the level he showed at the start of the season, when he was considered the Rossoneri’s best player and one of the most decisive performers in Serie A.

A series of injuries kept the so-called “Captain America” off the pitch, which is why, since returning in recent matches, he has struggled to regain his best form.

This Saturday, however, the American delivered one of his strongest performances in recent weeks, helping Milan secure a victory over Torino. The display should also boost his confidence ahead of the upcoming FIFA international window, when he is expected to face Belgium and Portugal with the USMNT.

Pulisic provided the assist for Adrien Rabiot’s goal that helped propel Milan to victory over Torino. After a strong individual run, the American delivered a cross to the far post, where he found the French midfielder.

The assist was Pulisic’s first goal contribution of 2026 for Milan, ending a drought that had stretched through the club’s matches earlier this year. His previous goal involvement had come on 28 December against Hellas Verona.

The US international started the match despite the controversy that arose during the week following comments from Rafael Leão, who had questioned some of the American’s decisions on the pitch.

Nevertheless, Pulisic retained his place in the starting line-up and played 77 minutes, providing the assist for the second goal. He also produced a shot on target and completed 80 per cent of his passes, according to SofaScore.

Pulisic was substituted in the 77th minute for Mexican striker Santiago Giménez, who returned to the pitch for Milan and will now look to rebuild the on-field partnership with Pulisic that was interrupted by the injuries both players suffered.
