Chucky Lozano is part of Napoli’s pre-season squad, to many people’s surprise. In the midst of uncertainty over his future at the Italian champions, the Mexico international has been included in Rudi García’s squad for their pre-season camp in Castel di Sangro, Italy.
Napoli will play four friendly matches and Lozano could get some game time as he awaits a decision to be made on his future.
Lozano fails to reach agreement
Napoli take on Hatayspor on Saturday before facing Girona FC, FC Augsburg and Apollon Limassol.
Lozano had been left out of the squad after failing to reach an agreement to renew his contract, so his inclusion in pre-season has caused some surprise.
Serie A start
Napoli begin their 2023-24 Serie A campaign on August 19, visiting Frosinone.
Their first home game will take place on August 27 against Sassuolo at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.
