Liga MX side Club León beat LAFC 1-0 in the second leg of the Concacaf Champions League final last June at BMO Stadium on Sunday to win their first-ever continental title by a final score of 3-1 on aggregate.

The win sees ‘La Fiera’ take their place for the first time ever at the forthcoming FIFA Club World Cup which will be staged in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah in mid December with the Mexican side set to face Urawa Red Diamonds in the quarter finals.
