Club León issue special edition Club World Cup shirt
After beating LAFC over two legs in the CONCACAF CL, the Liga MX side will participate in their first ever Club World Cup.
Liga MX side Club León beat LAFC 1-0 in the second leg of the Concacaf Champions League final last June at BMO Stadium on Sunday to win their first-ever continental title by a final score of 3-1 on aggregate.
The win sees ‘La Fiera’ take their place for the first time ever at the forthcoming FIFA Club World Cup which will be staged in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah in mid December with the Mexican side set to face Urawa Red Diamonds in the quarter finals.
To commemorate the ‘verdiblancos’ first ever CWC appearance, the club and locals Mexican sports brand Charly have presented a limited edition shirt which León will sport in the Gulf.
The dark green jersey comes in a special presentation box and is expected to ship in the first week of December with the shirt now on sales via the club’s official online store.
