Colombia vs Slovakia: FIFA U-20 World Cup live online

In the last eight

What a second-half performance that was from Colombia.

They were dominant and absolutely ruthless, scoring three goals in four minutes just after the break.

Colombia win 5-1 and will play England or Italy in the quarter-finals.

Slovakia were outclassed and go home after reaching the Round of 16.

Colombia 5-1 Slovakia

It's all over in San Juan!

Hard to believe that this was 0-0 at half-time!

We've had SIX second-half goals!

Colombia 5-1 Slovakia

Cortes calmly finishes past Danko to grab his second of the game.

Colombia have five!

Cortes get another!

It's four in four for him!

The Argentine fans are in the ground and they're adding a bit of noise to the end of this encounter.

They're also warming up for their own Round of 16 clash later in the day!

There will be seven additional minutes played.

It remains 4-1 to Colombia.

It's an excellent header by Jambor. He heads it back across goal away from Alvarez and he can say he scored in a U-20 World Cup.

Slovakia have a consolation!

Salazar is played in on the left and fires a cross into the box. Kosa gets between two Colombian players to clear the danger.

Cortes swings the resulting corner in. It's caught by Danko.

Jambor picks up a yellow for fouling Mantilla.

4,630 is today's attendance in San Juan.

Argentina fans are also making their way in slowly as their team plays later.

Slovakia win a corner on the left. It's all about pride now.

The ball is sent in but Alvarez claims it.

Coming off the pitch here, knowing your tournament is over... that's a tough one to swallow for the Slovakian lads.

Colombia 4-0 Slovakia

Colombia have a fine margin now with 25 minutes of normal time to play.

GOAL! Angel!

ANGEL has his brace!

He times his run brilliantly and curls a low left-footed finish from the right-hand side into the far corner.

It's an exquisite finish and he now has three goals at this tournament.

Colombia continue to dominate and are looking for a fourth.

They're also about to make a triple change. With one foot in the last eight, they will give the big guns a rest.

OFF Leo Sauer

ON Nino Marcelli

Sauer (17), the youngest player in the Slovakia squad, is replaced.

Colombia slice through the Slovakia backline again.

Asprilla's effort is blocked by Ujlaky.

Slovakia can't believe what has hit them!

They're also preparing to make some changes...

Cortes gets in behind again but the flag is raised for offside.

Angel makes it 3-0

Slovakia have a mountain to climb in San Juan...

Colombia 3-0 Slovakia

48' GOAL

50' GOAL

52' GOAL

Three goals in four minutes from the South Americans.

They've been as clinical as you can get.

Angel has buried it into the roof of the net.

Colombia have a third and they're on their way to the quarter-finals!

Asprilla plays a one-two with Cortes and buries it into the top corner from the edge of the area. Colombia now have a two-goal lead and Slovakia have it all to do.

It's a moment of brilliance from Asprilla.

Two goals in two minutes.

Ujlaky gives it straight to Cortes on the edge of the box and the Colombian player makes no mistake, running through on goal and placing it beyond Danko. It's disastrous for Slovakia.

Colombia had the best chances in the opening half but failed to convert.

This will go to extra time and penalties if the sides can't be separated.

I have no changes to report so it's the same XIs.

Colombia get us going for the second 45'

There's a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs today.

The teams are back out for the second half.

0-0 at the break

Angel had the best chance of the half but sent his low effort wide.

It's all square at half-time in San Juan!

Colombia have had their fair share of chances and really should be ahead.

The corner drops to Salazer, who sends it back into the box. It comes out to Asprilla, whose shot is then saved.

And there's the whistle for the interval!

Slovakia have to now defend a Colombia corner...

He pulls the trigger inside the box but across comes Ovsonka to read the danger to block the shot. That is excellent defending.

Sauer is fouled on the edge of the box. Gajdos sends it in from near the byline.

Colombia deal with the threat and it's cleared up the pitch.

Cortes picks Puerta out with an excellent line-breaking ball. Puerta gets it out of his feet quickly, but sees his effort parried away by Danko in the Slovakia goal.

Danko denies the skipper with a fine save and it stays 0-0 here!

Colombia could easily be two goals to the good.

Asprilla, this time on the left, swings it into the box, but there is just too much on it for Angel.

Attempts at goal:

Colombia - 6

Slovakia - 3

Colombia are showing why they're unbeaten at this tournament. Puerta looks to get on it and make them tick at every opportunity.

Watford's Asprilla gets down the right and wins a corner.

Quick thinking by Colombia sees them go short before the ball is eventually sent into the box.

Slovakia clear their lines.

He strikes it brilliantly on the half-volley with his left foot but it's just over.

Colombia could rue that one. Gajdos gives possession away, Angel runs through on goal, but puts it wide. 0-0

What a chance!

He's straight through on goal but sends his low effort wide.

Back to Puerta. The Colombia captain is a 19-year-old midfielder. He made to move to Europe from Colombia's Bogota FC, joining Bayer Leverkusen before being loaned out to Bundesliga 2. side FC Nurnberg.

Ocampo fires wide!

He's in acres of space on the right, opens himself up, and shoots over the bar. Colombia are starting to threaten.

He sends his effort from 25 yards out wide.

Ocampo gets down the right but misplaces his pass and Slovakia have it once again.

Asprilla then takes Slovakia on and crosses to the back post. Gajdos clears the danger...

Snajder fouls Manyoma and will miss the quarter-final if Slovakia advance. That's a needless early booking.

The winner of this contest will play either England or Italy in the last eight. It's do or die today.

Some Argentina fans are making their way into the ground as their team play here later today.

Salazar looks to create an attack for Colombia but the ball heads out of play. Slovakia have a goal-kick and it remains 0-0.

Neither side has yet to take this one by storm. It's been a patient start in San Juan.

Slovakia's One to Watch:

Leo Sauer plies his trade in the Netherlands with Feyenoord and is the youngest player in the Slovakia squad at just 17.

Sauer has netted twice in 11 games for Feyernoord's U21 side this season. He's an exciting winger, who can operate on either flank and is one that Colombia will have to keep an eye on.

Colombia play it out from the back but there's too much on it for Asprilla and Slovakia reclaim possession.

Colombia have reached the Round of 16 at the U-20 World Cup on four occasions.

Slovakia beat Fiji 4-0 in their opener, but then lost to Ecuador (2-1) and the USA (2-0).

Tomas Angel Gutierrez is in the Colombia side today. He is the son of former Aston Villa forward Juan Pablo Angel, who you may remember.

Snajder goes for the ambitious but sends his shot from distance over the bar. 0-0

It's a big one for Colombia!

Cortes bombs forward and wins a corner for Colombia.

Puerta sends it to the near post but Jambor heads it away.

Colombia captain Puerta gets involved in the early action. He's one to keep an eye on.

Colombia are undefeated at the tournament and will fancy their chances against Slovakia, who finished third in their group but managed to squeeze into the last 16.

Colombia are in their famous yellow, while Slovakia sport an all-blue kit.
