Brazil are set to close out their Group Stage of the Copa América with a game against Colombia.

The team led by Dorival Júnior, despite being second, are all but guaranteed a place in the next round, given the way results have fallen so far.

A 0-0 draw against Paraguay, while despite not being thrilling, was good enough to put them second on goal difference and only a huge swing of 6 goals would be enough to see the Central Americans qualify for the knockouts.

Who will play for Brazil against Colombia?

Given the leeway that the team have in terms of qualification, it remains a possibility that Dorival Júnior may opt to rest and rotate for the game at Levi’s Stadium. However, given the mathematics of the group and the resulting bracket to the final, the winner of the group will almost certainly avoid Uruguay in the quarter-finals. A draw would see Colombia top Group D, while Brazil need to win.

Despite the positive group situation, the game is not set to be a walkover: Brazil will be going up against a Colombia side who have not lost since they played against Argentina back in early 2022. Luis Díaz and Jhon Cordoba pose a huge threat around the box, while Sánchez and Lerma form a solid spine from which. to build their attacks.
