Could Hazard be on his way to join Ronaldo? Madrid winger linked to Al-Nassr

Reports link the out of favour winger with a sensational move to Saudi Arabia, where he would join up with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Could the story that never started finally be coming to an end? The trailer was released, but the film was never produced, and now it’s perhaps time to take the posters down from the cinema walls. Eden Hazard, the player that promised so much and delivered so little, has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid. And it might just happen.

Ever since his starry arrival in the summer of 2019, after months of taking it for granted, just like Mbappé's Madrid arrival, Hazard has failed to get his Madrid career to anything near the levels he showed at Chelsea in the Premier League.

Now, Hazard is being linked with a spectacular move away from Real Madrid - something that has not happened much given his absolute failure to make any sort of impact at the most demanding club in the world - to join Ronaldo at Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr. You heard Ronnie was there, right?

Eden Hazard’s time at Real Madrid has seen him have more injuries and front page ‘comebacks’ than league goals, but something has not clicked between the club and player, with various managers now not opting for the Belgian attacker, who cost €115 million.

Rudi Garcia called Eden Hazard

Fenerbache were said to be interested in the winger before journalists Santi Aouna and Dahbia Hattabi reported for Footmercado that Eden Hazard received a call from Al Nassr manager Rudi García - who knows the player from his time at Lille - to convince him to join Al-Nassr in the summer of 2023.

The 31 year-old has played 51 times in La Liga for Real Madrid in 3 years, scoring just four goals; for Chelsea he played almost 300 league games and scored over 80 goals: an inexplicable decline. Now, he might this time follow Ronaldo instead of replace him, but something tells me he won’t wear number seven.
