Cristiano Ronaldo arrives for United talks with zero offers on the table
After announcing his desire to leave United and taking a leave of absence from the team’s Asia tour, the striker has arrived in Carrington ahead of a key meeting with United boss Erik Ten Hag.
Cristiano Ronaldo has arrived at Man United’s training ground in Carrington after the striker was absent from Manchester United’s tour of Asia and Oceania.
United’s number ’7′ is scheduled to meet new United coach, Erik ten Hag, with the Dutchman set to try and convince Ronaldo to stay at Old Trafford despite the Portuguese player’s insistence at leaving in search of his sixth Champions League title. As things stand, Atlético Madrid seems to be an unlikely destination for the striker, however, AS understands that no formal offers have yet arrived for the Madeiran player.
Ten Hag and Cristiano have already held conversations previously ahead of the recent Asian tour and the Dutch manager still believes he can convince him not to leave the club. The coach’s view has gained strength at United in recent days, given the lack of offers for the striker but with five weeks left for the market to close, the 37-year-old could still be bound for the Old Trafford exit door.
