Cristiano Ronaldo reaches 500 league goals at club level
The Portuguese ace found the back of the net four times in Al-Nassr’s 0-4 win over Al-Wehda to take his tally at club level to 503 league goals.
Cristiano Ronaldo reached another career milestone on Thursday, as he surpassed the 500-goal mark at club level. The forward, who celebrated his 38th birthday just a few days ago, scored all of Al-Nassr’s goals in the 0-4 Saudi Pro League win over Al-Wehda. Two Cristiano goals either side of half-time puts Rudi García’s team top of the table, level on 37 points with Al-Shabab, and with a game in hand. It also took the player’s personal tally to a combined 503 league goals for the five different clubs he has played for during his career.

It all began for Cristiano on 7 October 2002 when he opened his account for Sporting Clube, bagging a brace in the 3-0 win against Moreirense - the first of three goals he scored that season before Manchester United came knocking. At Old Trafford, he had to wait to Week 11 to toast his first Premier League goal - a free-kick from a seemingly impossible angle that somehow darted through a congested box in United’s 3-0 home win over Portsmouth in November 2003. During his first stint at United, he scored 84 league goals in 196 appearances.
Cristiano’s feats at Old Trafford would pale in comparison to his achievements at Real Madrid. He smashed the club goals record, hitting 311 LaLiga goals in just nine seasons, taking himself past Raúl (228 goals) and Alfredo Di Stéfano (216 goals). He left Madrid for Turin in 2018 and the goals continued to flow in the four seasons he spent in Serie A with Juventus. His goal scoring ratio dipped slightly, dropping from 1.06 at Madrid to 0.82 with Juve, but by the time he left Italy in 2021, he had amassed 81 league goals in 98 games.
His return to Manchester United didn’t work out but he still managed to contribute 19 goals in 40 Premier League appearances. Now, after having signed a two and half year contract with Al-Nassr back in December, Cristiano’s goals spree is showing no signs of stopping. His tally stands at five goals in three league games at the halfway point in the season.
