Canada suffer another defeat
It's not a stat they will want to read in Canada.
Opta - Canada is the third team to lose its first five World Cup matches, joining Mexico (first 9) and El Salvador (all 6).
Tough one to take
Canada's huddle post-match.
Canada will be back
John Herdman has done amazing work with Canada and they'll be feeling hugely disappointed after losing both games so far but he has the players in his squad to bounce back from this. The likes of Buchanan, Davies and David all have the quality for top international football but it wasn't to be this time around.
Three points for Croatia
After an opening day goalless draw, Croatia finally pick up three points.
Croatia superior
Canada are out and It's a pity because they deserved to win against Belgium. Croatia were superior today. Canada play Morocco next in Group F, while Croatia take on Belgium.
Canada knocked out
Canada's 2022 World Cup adventure ends prematurely after their second consecutive defeat.

Orsic runs through and lays it off to Majer, who taps it home.
Croatia 4-1 Canada
Goal Croatia!
Majer scores after a mistake from Miller.
Hoilett!
He takes it down on the thigh before sending a volley just wide of the post. It's a good effort from the Reading player.
There will be six minutes added on, slightly less than some of the games we've seen at the tournament.
Borjan kept Canada in the game but Croatia's third goal was just a bridge too far. Canada had looked threatening with Davies and Buchanan but Jonathan David was off the pace.

They were queuing up to score.

OFF David
ON Cavallini

Croatia 3-1 Canada
Perisic is involved again. He picks Kramaric out with a cross from the left and the number nine does so well to control it and curl it home beyond Borjan.
Canada are in big trouble now.
Kramaric scores!
Kramaric has TWO!
Croatia have THREE!
Perisic stat
Opta - Ivan Perisic has been directly involved in 15 goals at World Cups and Euros combined (9 goals, 6 assists), five more than any other Croatia player.

Croatia change
OFF Marko Livaja
ON Bruno Petkovic
Buchanan shoots!
Brozovic blocks!
Davies cuts in from the right this time, before laying it off for the dangerous Buchanan but Brozovic positions himself perfectly to stop the shot.
John Herdman is the first coach to have managed a women's and men's team at a World Cup. He was once told at Sunderland that because he never played at the highest level, the highest age category he would coach would be the U9s. And here he is on the biggest stage of them all.
DAVID!
The Lille man strikes it first time from 20 yards. Livakovic tips it over the bar!
Kramaric!
He holds his run, Modric picks him out, but Borjan saves brilliantly to deny Kramaric his second goal.
It really should be 3-1 to Croatia. That save keeps Canada in the game.
Croatia have a free-kick a long way out. It goes short to Juranovic. Canada clear the cross.
Osorio!
What an effort! It curls just wide. He's only on the pitch a matter of minutes and almost equalises for Canada but there's too much whip on it.
Well, Canada have it all to do. As things stand, they're heading out of the World Cup.

Canada change
OFF Eustáquio
ON Osorio
I have a couple of changes to report.
The players are making their way back out for the second half.
Can Canada respond?
John Herdman will be motivating his players in the dressing room at the break. It's all or nothing for them now.
Canada were brilliant in the opening 20 minutes and took an early lead through key man Alphonso Davies. Croatia have responded superbly, equalising and then taking the lead.
HT: Croatia 2-1 Canada
There's the whistle!
Croatia lead at the break!
Croatia are relentless on the break. Canada's high line is seeing the Europeans exploit the space in behind. It could be three already.
We'll be going until the 50th minute, as there have been five minutes added on.
Kramaric fires over from outside the box after some good work by Perisic on the left wing.
Croatia are on top and are looking to further extend their lead.
Canada are stunned by two Croatia goals in just eight minutes. They will want to get in and regroup at half-time.
Croatia 2-1 Canada
Croatia goal!
Livaja fires Croatia into the lead!
It's an excellent finish from 20 yards - low and hard into the bottom left-hand corner.
Game on!
Croatia find a way through as we approach half-time.
Croatia really is a fascinating country. With a population of less than four million, they continue to produce excellent footballers.
Eustaquio is down and getting treatment for what looks to be a muscular problem.
It's Kramaric's 21st goal for his country. It's a fine finish too. He hits it first time after a lovely through-ball from the ever-dangerous Perisic.
Croatia's pressure eventually pays off and they're right back in the game.

Perisic slips Kramaric in on the left and from a tight angle, he slots it low beyond Borjan. 1-1

Croatia head Davies' curling free-kick away.
Eustaquio drops in between the two centre-backs to get the ball moving. He plays his club football with FC Porto.
Canada move up the pitch and Lovren fouls Davies. Canada have a free about 35 yards from goal.
Croatia are threatening more but it remains 1-0 to Canada.
Kramaric scores a brilliant individual goal but finds himself in an offside position.
Today's results:
Japan 0-1 Costa Rica
Belgium 0-2 Morocco
Quick stat: Croatia are undefeated in seven games and have lost only one of their last 17 fixtures.
Kovacic breaks the lines with a mazy run. He slips Kramaric in but there is just too much on the pass and the number nine can't connect.
Canada are so quick on the break with Davies on the left. The Bayern left-back's final pass lets him down. He's occupying a more advanced role with his country and covers so much ground. He's also superb in and out of possession.
Hutchinson making 100th appearance
Opta - Atiba Hutchinson is making his 100th appearance for Canada today, becoming the first player to reach this milestone for the men's team.
Sosa crosses from the left wing. Borjan flies off his line to punch it away. And if you're wondering, Mandzukic is not in the box to challenge the keeper.
John Herdman's side lacked quality in the final third against Belgium but it took them just over 60 seconds to open the scoring here. They took a lot of confidence from the Belgium game. Herdman told his players after the game that they belong at this level.
Croatia win a corner. Modric stands over it.
Lovren comes up. Modric goes short and Eustaquio heads it away.
Eustaquio was excellent against Belgium in midweek.
Perisic works a stepover on the left before overhitting his cross. It's a goalkick for Canada.
Canada had an xG of 2.57 against Belgium and still lost. Roberto Martínez's side lost against Morocco today, a result that leaves this group wide open. As things stand, Croatia are bottom of Group F and Canada are second.
It's very early but what a boost that is for Canada. Croatia's game plan is straight out the window and they now have to go for it.
What a start!
Croatia 0-1 Canada
Canada have scored their first ever World Cup goal!
Alphonso Davies buries his header past Dominik Livakovic.
It's a superb cross from Buchanan on the right and Davies powers his header low and hard. Livakovic has no chance.
It had to be that man!
Davies makes up for his missed penalty against Belgium with a superb header after just over 60 seconds.
GOAL!
DAVIES!
Canada take the lead!
Croatia get us underway!
They're playing from left to right.

Kickoff is just moments away, but before then, we will have the national anthems.
Croatia, the runners-up in 2018, will be wary of Canada after analysing their performance against Belgium.
Thibaut Courtois denied Alphonso Davies from the spot and John Herdman's side were left disappointed but they have another opportunity today.
Two games down, two more to go.
After Croatia-Canada, we have another tasty one between Spain and Germany in Group E.
Kickoff is just under 20 minutes away!
Canada fans set
Most of the Canada fans in Qatar won't remember the last time they were in a World Cup.
That was back in 1986. They failed to score in the tournament and are therefore still looking for their first ever World Cup goal.
Uruguayan Andrés Matonte will be the referee for Croatia and Canada’s Group F clash on Sunday, as the Canadians bid to avoid elimination from World Cup 2022.
After a 1-0 defeat to Belgium in their opening game on Wednesday, the Canucks - who are at the tournament for the first time since 1986 - will be knocked out if they lose to the Croats.
