Curaçao goalkeeper reacts to receiving Messi’s shirt after 7-0 loss to Argentina
The Columbus Crew keeper picked up Messi’s shirt after Curaçao’s 7-0 defeat to Argentina.
Lionel Messi scored his 100th international goal in Argentina’s 7-0 win over Curaçao on Tuesday.
Normally after a 7-0 thrashing, the last thing players on the losing team want to do is speak to the media, but Curaçao shot-stopper Eloy Room had a consolation post-match when he picked up Messi’s match-worn shirt.
Dream come true for Room

In an interview with Argentinian outlet TyC Sports after the match in which Messi scored a 17th-minute first-half hat-trick, Room said: “I have Messi’s jersey - it’s really special. It’s unbelievable, a dream come true. Everybody is a fan of Messi. Now I’ve played against him.”
The Columbus Crew keeper added: “It was a tough game, he scored some goals against me but I also saved some good shots from him. And he told me that, too – that I made some good saves – so that means a lot. I need those saves for YouTube!”
