Dani Ceballos injury update: out of Copa del Rey final, when will he return?
The Spaniard confirmed a “small” injury in the buildup to the Copa del Rey final against Osasuna; he will undergo tests.
Real Madrid take on Osasuna in the Copa del Rey final at the Estadio La Cartuja in Sevilla (6 May, 4pm ET). However, they will have to do so without the presence of one of their most prominent midfielders this season, Dani Ceballos, who confirmed that he had suffered what he calls “a small injury” and one that “puts [him] out of the game today”.
The player posted on Twitter, confirming his injury, saying that “sometimes hope can play tricks. While training yesterday, I suffered a small injury that puts me out of the game today. It was very special for me, for it to be in Sevilla and after such an exciting Cup run that is full of good memories. I’m hurt and sad, but I’ll get back up! Let’s go!”
What injury does Ceballos have?
Miguel Ángel Díaz of Cadena Cope tweeted saying that Dani Ceballos has suffered an injury in his right thigh, and that the player will undergo tests tomorrow to identify the extent of the injury. As such, it is not yet known how long the player will be out for.
