Date set: when will Luis Suárez be officially unveiled by Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami?

The MLS team, co-owned by David Beckham, will present the ex-Barcelona striker to the media after their first training session of 2024.

After crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s on his contract with Inter Miami ahead of the 2024 MLS season, in which he will join forces once again with former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, Luis Suárez is gearing up to be officially unveiled by David Beckham’s Herons.

Suárez’s Inter Miami unveiling: date, time and place

As revealed by Inter Miami’s Communications Department, the Uruguay international will be presented to the media on Saturday 13 January following his first training session with his new club, which will also be their first of 2024 as they begin preparations for the new season.

The training session is scheduled to take place at the Florida Blue Training Center, adjacent to DRV PNK Stadium, at 9:30 a.m. ET (6:30 p.m. PT) on Saturday, with Suárez’s unveiling set for 11:40 a.m. ET (8:40 a.m. PT). Inter Miami head coach Gerardo “Tata” Martino will face the media alongside his latest signing.

After spending a year with Brazilian club Grêmio, the iconic Uruguayan striker becomes the latest high-profile arrival in Florida after Messi, Busquets and Alba as Las Garzas bid to win their first MLS Cup and more, having lifted the Leagues Cup in 2023. From the moment Suárez pulls on the pink jersey for the first time in pre-season, the pressure will be on.

Inter Miami are set for a gruelling pre-season schedule with trips to El Salvador, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong and Japan, which includes a game against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr in Riyadh. Their first warm-up match will see them take on the El Salvador national team in San Salvador on Friday 19 January and all eyes will be on them to see if they are ready to fight for the MLS Cup, CONCACAF Champions Cup and Leagues Cup in 2024.
