Deyverson mocks Haaland with visual gift offer
The Brazilian uploaded a photo on social media where he made fun of Manchester City’s striker for fluffing his lines against Real Madrid.
Deyverson Silva had a brief stint with several teams in the Spanish league, including Levante, Deportivo Alavés, and Getafe. Across these clubs, the Brazilian managed to score 17 goals in 97 league appearances, significantly fewer than the 31 goals Erling Haaland has amassed this season in 39 matches.
However, despite the standing between the players, Silva took advantage of Manchester City’s defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals to mock the Norwegian on his social media platforms. “I’ll send you my videos,” he wrote, alongside an image of the Norwegian forward missing an opportunity.
Indeed, yesterday’s match saw Haaland disappoint the City fans, as their top scorer struggled to break through the opposing defense. In fact, the player was substituted before the start of extra time and left the pitch with a slight limp, raising doubts about his availability for the next match. Pep Guardiola’s team will face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals, where they will have the opportunity to advance to the final and defend their title.
Where is Deyverson now?
So, what is Deyverson up to these days while Erling struts his stuff at global soccer’s top table? Well, he has just begun the Brazilian league with his team, Cuiabá, and in their first match, they suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat against Athletico Paranaense, leaving them at the bottom of the league table. The player will need to showcase his goal-scoring prowess to help his team climb the standings and potentially make good on his promise to share his videos from this season.
