Diego Costa is back in the Premier League
Wolverhampton Wanderers announced the signing of Costa, who finally secured a work permit and has joined the club until the end of the season.
Diego Costa “is a wolf”. The striker has joined Wolverhampton Wanderers and his presentation video features the player leading three wolves with metal chains.
The striker was a free agent and arrives at Wolves for one season after successfully passing the work visa application process and protocol medical tests. Costa signs through to summer of 2023 with Wolverhampton, his eleventh team after Barcelona Esporte Clube, Braga, Penafiel, Atlético Madrid, Celta, Albacete, Valladolid, Rayo Vallecano, Chelsea and Atlético Mineiro.
Wolves are Costa’s second Premier League side after his spell with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, where he arrived in the summer of 2014 after winning LaLiga with Atlético and reaching the Champions League final, in exchange for 38 million euro.
At that time, Costa was one of the most feared strikers at the time and played for Spain at the World Cup in Brazil. His time in London was positive with Costa winning two Premier League titles with the ‘Blues’. Now at 33, Costa faces a different challenge as he enters the twilight of his playing career desperate to prove that he can still cut it at the highest level.
