Doubts surrounding Real Madrid ahead of key season-end run

Ancelotti is considering some rotations, but there are doubts: Brahim is an option for the starting eleven, while Alaba is also in contention.

Update:

Rotations are on the horizon—but which ones? That is the question. Ancelotti is carefully weighing his options, seeking the right balance between fielding a competitive team and keeping his key players fresh for Tuesday, when a place in La Cartuja will be on the line. Tonight marks the start of a grueling stretch, and the South American players are feeling it the most. Valverde will not start, and one of the Brazilians is likely to begin on the bench.

On the other hand, Brahim is set to start, while doubts remain over Alaba. All signs point to Tchouaméni being a substitute—one of the most fatigued players after accumulating 210 minutes during the international break, having played the full 90 minutes in the first match and then all of extra time in the second.

Meanwhile, Modric and Camavinga step up as the midfield duo, orchestrating play for a team that will feature three of the Fantastic Four in attack. One of Vinícius or Rodrygo is expected to be benched, with the latter being the likelier candidate.

At the back, there’s an unresolved question: Rüdiger or Alaba? Asencio’s starting spot is assured, as he didn’t play a single minute during the break, but the debate revolves around his defensive partner. Alaba’s availability hinges on the German’s fatigue levels. In goal, with Courtois officially ruled out, Lunin will step in.
