Endrick to join Real Madrid for €35 million

Real Madrid will pay €35 million fixed for Endrick. FIFA will only allow him to sign for three years.

Chelsea, Barcelona and PSG were all bidding to sign Endrick but he will join Real Madrid. None of them thought that Madrid were so close to closing a deal for the Brazilian wonderkid.

The first reports suggested that Madrid would pay Palmeiras the €60 million release clause plus a €12 million tax. Nothing could be further from the truth. AS understands from sources directly involved in the negotiation, Los Blancos have closed the deal for €35 million plus €25 million for achievements: winning the Golden Boy, the number of games as a starter, goals scored, titles won. Thus, according to these sources, “If Madrid pays the €60 million, it is because Endrick is worth at least €300 million″.

Barça arrived late (they moved shortly before Xavi revealed that he spoke to Endrick’s father and Endrick himself), as did Chelsea and PSG. The agreement between parties has been reached and has not yet been made official due to a bureaucratic issue.

The transfer will be registered in FIFA’s TMS, although it will not become effective until the teenager reaches the age of majority in July 2024. He can only sign for three years, as FIFA does not allow longer contracts for under-18s.

The extension for a further three years, until 2030, has already been agreed and Endrick will be paid €2 million gross for each of those seasons, although the figure is increasing slightly as his contract progresses, which is very similar to the one signed by Vinícius. In fact, both players have the same agency. 100% of the player’s rights belong to Palmeiras although, as is evident, the player will receive a signing bonus that has not been disclosed.

Set for Real Madrid medical

Real Madrid and Endrick have agreed to split the image rights 50/50. In this way, Madrid will receive half of all the contracts Endrick signs once he is formally a Real Madrid player but not those he signs before July 2024. He already has deals with multinationals including as OdontoCompany, Rei Pitaco and Nike. It is not decided when, but Endrick will travel to Madrid in the next few days to undergo a medical. The signing will be made official right after.

Endrick’s desire to join Madrid

The success in the negotiation is resounding for Madrid. Only a few days ago PSG made Palmeiras a joint offer of €80 million for Endrick and Estevao, Palmeiras’ other star teenager, who is a 15-year-old left winger. However, by the time the offer arrived, Real Madrid were already well advanced in negotiations for Endrick.

Juni Calafat was the first to enter the operation, which he has been working on for more than a year, when Endrick was 15. “He noticed the boy’s potential early on,” sources close to the striker tell AS. There is one definite fact that has played in Madrid’s favour, and that is the player’s desire to join the club.

Endrick is grateful to Palmeiras because when his parents took him from Brasilia to the city of Sao Paulo they knocked on the doors of Sao Paulo and Santos and both clubs refused. Palmeiras decided to keep the boy and gave his father a job in the club’s cleaning team. Endrick comes from a humble background. The club even organised a raffle so that his father could solve a serious mouth problem.

When Endrick signed his first professional contract last July, he allowed Palmeiras to give him a high release clause (€60 million). In return, he reserved the right to decide which club he wanted to go to. And he chose Madrid over Barça or PSG.
