Erick Gutiérrez back in Liga MX as Chivas move confirmed

After five seasons with PSV in Holland, where he won two Dutch Cups and two Dutch Super Cups, the midfielder moves back to Mexico as he signs for Chivas.

Erick Gutiérrez is back in Mexico. After five years playing in the Eredivise for PSV Eindhoven, the 28-year-old returns ‘home’ after penning a deal with 2023 Clausura beaten finalists Chivas Guadalajara.

In his five seasons with PSV, ‘Guiti’ played participated in Champions League, Europa League and Conference League for the Eindhoven based side winning two Dutch KNVB Cups and two Dutch Super Cups.

Guadalajara announced the acquisition of the central player via a video featuring players such as Alexis Vega, Antonio Briseño, Óscar Whalley and Ricardo Marín.

The club also tweeted his arrival with the message: “Champion in Mexico and Holland, winning spirit and red and white essence. At Chivas de Hierro you will play alongside 40 million people who will support you with their souls”.
