Update:

The FA Cup rolls on, and the fourth round proper provided plenty of interesting games as the number of teams was reduced even further.

We have seen penalty shootouts, upsets, and most importantly, tin-foil covered cardboard cutouts of the trophy.

Ahead of the game between Macclesfield and Premier League club Brentford, which kicks off at 2:30 p.m. ET, 7:30 p.m. local time, the draw for the fifth round has taken place.

Here’s the full draw, conducted by the delightful duo of Karen Carney and Joe Cole, for the fifth round of the FA Cup:

Fulham vs Southampton

Port Vale or Bristol City vs Sunderland

Newcastle vs Manchester City

Leeds vs Norwich

Mansfield Town vs Arsenal

Wolves vs Liverpool

Wrexham v Chelsea

West Ham v Macclesfield or Brentford

FA Cup fifth round: key games

Let’s take a look at some of the standout games of the draw.

Leeds United vs Norwich City might not be everyone’s pick of the bunch, but the narratives are certainly there. The Premier League side are doing better than expected in the league this season and manager Daniel Farke will see his old side return to face him once again.

Newcastle vs Manchester City: a repeat of last season’s semi-final, this game represents two sides going in different directions, with Eddie Howe repeatedly seeing his future questioned at the northern club. That won’t matter on the night as St. James’ Park will sell out for this epic game.

Wrexham vs Chelsea: Rob and Ryan won’t have to travel to the capital to watch their team take on Chelsea, but I bet they’ll put on a good spread for it. The Blues make the international trip to Wales to take on the team that has grabbed the headlines so much this season for their solid work on and off the field, and an inconsistent Premier League side won’t find it easy.

Mansfield Town vs Arsenal: the dream continues as the League One side host the Premier League leaders (for now) in another high-profile contest for Nigel Clough’s side. Fresh from their win over Burnley, Field Mill will be rocking when the game comes around.
