FIFA confirm time/date for Club World Cup draw
The 2022 FIFA Club World Cup will be staged in Morocco next month with details of the competition draw now confirmed.
The staging of the 2022 Qatar World Cup in the months of November/December has impacted on league schedules around the world with most major competitions resuming activity post Christmas.
FIFA themselves were forced to push back their own competition with the 2022 Club World Cup now set to be staged next month in Morocco.
The tournament features seven participants with the winners of each confederation in action.

When will the draw be staged?
The 2022 FIFA Club World Cup draw will take place on the 13 January, 12:00 CET (06:00 am ET) (03:00 am PT) at the Mohammed VI Football Academy in Sale, Rabat.
At present FIFA have yet to confirm which stadiums will host the seven games with heavy hints suggesting that both Tangier and Rabat will be the host cities with games to be played at the 65,000 capacity Stade Ibn Batouta (home to IR Tanger) and Rabat’s 60,000 capacity Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium (home to FAR Rabat).
The competition gets underway on 1 February with Al Ahly against Auckland with the rest of the schedule to be resolved in Friday’s draw.
The final game will go ahead on 11 February.
