Final sales phase for 2023 Women’s World Cup to commence on 11 April

With over 500,000 match tickets already sold for the tournament, FIFA have confirmed the final sales period for the 2023 World Cup.

Upon the conclusion of the second window of ticket sales for the 2023 Women’s World Cup, FIFA announced that over half-a-million tickets had been sold to fans from more than 120 countries for the tournament which will take this July and August in Australia and New Zealand.

FIFA added that fans residing in the United States of America, England, Qatar, Germany, China PR, Canada, the Republic of Ireland and France are the top 10 purchasers of tickets to date.

Unprecedented demand

Testament to anticipation and interest in the tournament are the more than 100,000 fans expected to attend the Australia vs. Republic of Ireland Group B match which has been moved to Sydney Stadium to satisfy the unprecedented demand for tickets for a women’s game. The 20 July clash is expected to eclipse the previous record when 91,553 fans packed Camp Nou for the Women’s Champions League clash between FC Barcelona Femeni and Wolfsburg in March of last year.

Final ticket window open in April

Fans who want to get involved in the biggest ever women’s soccer tournament can get their hands on tickets when the last-minute sales phase opens on 11 April and this window will remain open through to the end of the tournament unless matches are sold out prior.

All tickets will be sold in the local currencies, based on where the ticket purchases are being issued. Tickets purchased in Australia will be charged in Australian Dollars (AUD) and tickets purchased in New Zealand will be charged in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
