Five Mexico players to watch at the Maurice Revello Tournament
El Tri will face Togo in their first match.
The Mexico U-23 team are set to begin their journey at the prestigious Maurice Revello Tournament in France.
The team coached by Raúl Chabrand will face Togo in their first match and there are several players in the squad worth coming an eye on.
Marcelo Flores is the first name that stands out. The Arsenal player hasn’t been hugely successful with Real Oviedo but that does not detract from his quality.

Pablo Monroy
The Pumas youth academy player played well in the previous tournament and could be a revelation for the Mexican national team. He had two assists in ten games for Pumas in the 2022-23 Clausura campaign.
Marcelo Flores
The talented player shone with Arsenal U-20s but faded a bit in his brief spell with Real Oviedo in Spain’s Second Division. Raúl Chabrand knows he can’t leave a midfielder of his qualities out of his squad. The 19-year-old has three caps at senior international level.
Heriberto Jurado
Skillful, good feet, and excellent in one-on-one situations, the 18-year-old is certainly one player to watch in green.
Jesús Hernández
The Elche man is undoubtedly one of the key players for the Mexico team in France. He is still only 19 years old and has a contract with Elche until 2024.
Luca Martinez Dupuy
The Rosario Central forward suffered injuries in recent months. He has recovered, however, and is gradually finding his feet again on the pitch.
A special mention must also go to Isaís Violante of Toluca and Emiliano Freyfield of Club Universidad Nacional. Both players have already played with the senior team.
