Folarin Balogun picks ideal striker: Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappé...
The Monaco forward is looking to impress on the world stage and has revealed which world-class figures would make up his ideal striker.
AS Monaco’s star attacking signing and the starting forward for the United States national team, Folarin Balogun, took part in an ESPN segment in which he revealed who his ideal striker is for each attribute.
During the recent round of matches in France, Monaco secured the top spot in Ligue 1 by defeating the American’s former team Reims with a convincing scoreline of 3-1. Balogun applied the famous ‘Law of the Ex’ and scored at the 46th minute, but he refrained from celebrating out of respect.
Who makes up the ideal striker for Balogun?
In terms of player attributes, Folarin Balogun shared his preferences as follows:
- Movement: “I’ll go with Cavani; I think his movements are top.”
- Speed: “Mbappé, definitely in speed.”
- Header: “I’d say Ronaldo, CR7.”
- Finishing: “I choose Harry Kane.”
- Strength: “Bukayo Saka. He’s strong, a strong lad.”
- Dribbling: “Messi.”
- Teamwork: “I’ll stick with Harry Kane again.”
- Work rate: “I don’t know, Troy Deeney.”
As expected, he chose world-class players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, and Harry Kane for various attributes. However, it’s interesting to note the inclusion of Bukayo Saka and Troy Deeney for specific traits.
