Four of the biggest names in Spanish football will be heading to the USA and early Mexico as part of a summer tour just a week before the 2023-24 Spanish domestic campaign gets underway.

LaLiga have confirmed that Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad, Sevilla and Real Betis will be part of the summer tour as the league looks to secure more fans for Spanish football in two key markets.

Sevilla have struggled domestically this season but are still involved in the quarter finals of the Europa League where they face Manchester United. The other three sides are looking good to qualify for European competitions next season with Diego Simeone’s Atleti looking to secure second place as they now trail Real Madrid by just two points. Real Sociedad are currently in fourth place in the table with Betis holding sixth spot.

The Guadalajara meeting between Sevilla and Betis will be the first time that one of LaLiga’s highest profile derby games (El Gran Derbi) will be played outside Spain.
