André-Pierre Gignac’s future hangs in the balance as injuries sideline him at a crucial stage of the season.
“Gignac didn’t like the tribute they gave to him at Tigres”
After the send-off the fans gave André-Pierre Gignac in the final regular-season game against Mazatlán, it emerged that French forward was not pleased.
Why was Gignac unhappy with the tribute?
According to Peloteando, Gignac felt that the send off came far too early. Then again, despite Tigres still having to play the second leg of their CONCACAF semifinal against Nashville and their Liga MX quarterfinal, and André-Pierre has not been considered for either game due to his ongoing injury issues.
Will Gignac remain in Liga MX?
The Tigres striker has no intention of retiring from soccer just yet, even though his time with the university side appears to be nearing its end.
There is speculation that he could join another Liga MX club, although it seems more likely he will begin to attract interest from MLS teams. If that were to happen, questions would remain over whether his physical condition is sufficient to compete in the American league.
