Tigres set for last-eight Puebla match-up

The defending Mexican champions face Puebla in the first leg of the postseason quarter-finals this midweek.

Gignac initially suffered the issue in the matchday-16 draw with Atlético San Luis in early November. Although he was subsequently able to play the full 90 minutes against Club América on the final day of the regular season, the Frenchman has been increasingly troubled by the problem in the build-up to the playoffs.

On Wednesday, Gignac left training early as his Tigres team-mates put the finishing touches to their preparations for the trip to Puebla.

When will Gignac return to action?

The 37-year-old is expected to be fit for the second leg at the Estadio Universitario on Sunday, albeit it is not being ruled out that he could have to wait until the semi-finals - if Tigres get there.
