After he scored the winner in this weekend’s Clásico Regio against Monterrey, André-Pierre Gignac’s shirt is set to fetch a high price.

After emerging as the hero of the Clásico Regio on Saturday, André-Pierre Gignac once again left his mark on Tigres history. The French striker not only scored a decisive goal against Monterrey, but the jersey he wore that night has now become the club’s most expensive ever.

Gignac’s stoppage-time strike, which earned Tigres a 1-0 win, was his 15th career goal against Monterrey, further cementing his status as one of the dominant figures in the storied rivalry.

Because of the match’s significance and the player’s iconic legacy, Gignac’s No. 10 shirt has turned into a true collector’s piece. The jersey is already being viewed as one of the most valuable sports items currently circulating in Mexico’s memorabilia market.

How much will Gignac’s shirt sell for?

MatchWornShirt - a platform specializing in auctioning game‑worn uniforms from professional matches - put up for bidding the shirts used in this weekend’s Clásico Regio. From the moment the auction opened, Gignac’s jersey immediately became the most coveted item among collectors.

At the time of writing, the French striker’s shirt had reached €5,751 ($6,690). That figure puts it far ahead of the auction’s second‑highest item, belonging to Nahuel Guzmán, whose jersey sits at just €365 ($425).

Collectors still have 18 days left to place their bids, meaning the final price for this historic jersey could climb significantly before the auction closes.

Gignac’s goalscoring legacy in Mexico

Beyond the jersey’s soaring value, Gignac’s goal against Monterrey also brought him to 219 career goals with Tigres, 190 of which have come in Liga MX.

With that tally, the French striker broke into the top 10 all‑time leading scorers in Mexican soccer history, tying the mark set by Mexican forward Sergio Lira - though with a notable distinction: Gignac reached the milestone in just 11 years, while Lira needed 18 seasons to hit the same total.
