Gonzalo Higuaín resurfaces in Miami — and fans are shocked by his new look
At 38 years old, an image of the Argentine former player with a fan in a store in Miami has surprised many.
Gonzalo Higuaín defined an era. The Argentine striker was one of the most coveted forwards of the late 2000s and early 2010s. After debuting with River Plate, he made the leap to Real Madrid, where he became a fan favorite before starring across Europe with Napoli, Juventus, AC Milan, and Chelsea.
He eventually wrapped up his career in 2022 after a final chapter with Inter Miami. Since retiring, Higuaín has stayed mostly out of the spotlight — though he never fully stepped away from the sport. He now works as a Player Development Coach for David Beckham’s MLS club.
This week, a new photo of the former striker went viral. Higuaín, now 38, was spotted by a fan at a Miami establishment, and his appearance surprised many. Despite no longer playing professionally, he’s still active: he trains regularly and competes in padel, even winning a 2024 tournament in Miami alongside Venezuelan player Tarek Deham.
Higuaín’s résumé speaks for itself:
- 300+ career goals across 17 seasons
- 107 goals in 190 matches for Real Madrid
- 75 caps for Argentina
- A Europa League title with Chelsea six years ago
A true player of his generation — and now, quietly building a second career in Miami.
