Update:

Erling Haaland has been setting new goalscoring milestones for himself and rewriting the net-filling history books before even landing at one of the world’s elite football clubs. But now that he’s joined the Premier League champions, Manchester City, with one of the best managers in Pep Guardiola at its helm, expectations are that he will now go mad with his scoring exploits. And speaking of mad...

Haaland’s “crazy” Pep talk

“Of course, Guardiola’s a bit crazy, and I like that,” the tremendous Nordic meat shield began, with a wry smile over his face.

“So, it’s going to be fun and, of course, one week I cannot tell too much about this, but I’ve been training good and I’m ready for what’s next.”

Nudged by a reporter to elaborate on the ‘craziness’, the Norwegian was not playing.

“We don’t have to speak more about this,” he ended that conversation quickly.

Man City’s next game comes against Premier League rivals Liverpool in the FA Community Shield on Saturday 30 July, the season’s curtain raiser that pits the title winners against the cup champions.
