Guillermo Ochoa impresses again in Serie A
The Mexico international goalkeeper ensured his side earned a point in Serie A on Sunday.
Guillermo Ochoa has hit the ground running in Serie A. The Mexican goalkeeper played his second match with Salernitana on Sunday and he was once again the standout performer as his team played out a 1-1 draw with Torino.
This time he recorded seven saves, two less than on his debut against Milan. Perhaps the most outstanding was a late save from Aleksei Miranchuck that proved vital for his side as they earned a point at home.
The former América player made seven saves in the match and Sofascore gave him a rating of 8.1. All of his saves came from shots taken inside the area, where he showed great reflexes. He also had one clearance over the top and made four long passes out of 22 attempted.
Antonio Sanabria was the one who managed to beat the experienced keeper in the first half with a header, however, Salernitana managed to level the game in the second half.
Ochoa, Salernitana’s best performer
There is no doubt that Ochoa was the star of the show for the Serie A outfit and Sofascore gave the 37-year-old a rating of 8.1.
His closest challenger was defender Dylan Bronn with 7.6, while goal scorer Tonny Vilhena scored 7.3. Ochoa has had an immediate impact on a Salernitana side that signed him after Luigi Sepe picked up an injury.
