Guillermo Ochoa set for Salernitana extension
The Mexican goalkeeper will be rewarded for his great performances with Salernitana.
Salernitana will give Guillermo Ochoa their Player of the Month award for his strong performances in the month of January. This is according to TUDN, who in turn quote the Salernitana official website, where they explain that the Mexican netminder will receive the award tomorrow, prior to the team’s match against a struggling Juventus.
It’s been more than a month since Ochoa first wore the Serie A side’s shirt and tomorrow night, before the match against Juventus, the Mexican goalkeeper will receive the award from the club for having such a positive and immediate impact.
Will Ochoa’s contract be renewed?
The club website also reports that they intend to extend Ochoa’s contract and that there is already a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ between the goalkeeper and the club, meaning that after 30 June, when his contract expires, Ochoa will continue to wear the Salernitana colours.
