The Spanish phenom lifted the trophy, while Haaland delivered a historic tournament of his own. Both now carry an estimated market value of about $240 million, the first time in history any player has crossed the $220 million threshold. Their valuations jumped roughly $22 million each during the World Cup, a sign of just how fast the market keeps expanding.
Premier League muscle reshapes the market
One of the wildest deals of the summer belongs to Chelsea. The club’s move for Morgan Rogers totaled around $150 million, a staggering figure that only the Premier League seems capable of producing right now.
Kylian Mbappé also joins the $220 million club after a sensational World Cup run. The Real Madrid striker scored 10 goals for France, boosting his value yet again.
Michael Olise’s meteoric rise
The biggest leap, though, comes from Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise. He shattered the World Cup assist record and now ranks as the fourth‑most valuable player in the world, climbing to about $185 million, up roughly $22 million from the previous update.
Rounding out the top five is Jude Bellingham, the heartbeat of England’s midfield and the face of Europe’s next generation. His valuation now sits near $175 million.
Other risers — and the legends who remain
Elliot Anderson and Julián Álvarez also saw bumps, rising to about $130 million and $120 million, respectively. Vinícius Jr. holds steady in seventh place, just behind Pedri, separated by roughly $11 million.
Among the icons, Lionel Messi remains valued around $16 million, while Cristiano Ronaldo sits near $11 million — far from the astronomical figures defining today’s elite, but still remarkable for players deep into their careers.
Yamal and Haaland, meanwhile, stand alone at the top — the Rocafonda prodigy and the Viking goal machine redefining what a superstar is worth in 2026.
