Official: Casemiro joins Messi at Inter Miami

What had long been expected is now official: Casemiro is an Inter Miami player.

After finishing his 2026 World Cup campaign with Brazil, the midfielder took a few days to consider his future before deciding on his next move. Today, the Herons announced his arrival, with Casemiro joining Antoine Griezmann and Robert Lewandowski as the club’s marquee signings of the summer transfer window.

What did Casemiro say about joining Inter Miami

“What motivates me most, and I think this is true for every player, is winning and continuing to grow,” Casemiro said in the club’s official announcement.

“The project the club presented to me, along with the effort everyone made to bring me here, means a great deal to me.

“I’m incredibly grateful and can’t wait to get started so I can repay that trust, not only during the 90 minutes on the field but every day in training. All I can say is thank you, and I’ll give everything I have to repay the faith and confidence the club has shown in me.”
