Eden Hazard has made it clear, he has no plans to leave Real Madrid. The Belgian has one more year left on his contract which runs out in 30 June, (2024), so, in normal circumstances, the time for Madrid to sell would be now. But the LaLiga side are acutely aware that any operation involving the Belgian winger is almost impossible with the player planning on staying at the Bernabeu for the 2023/24 campaign.

Hazard has played 392 minutes this season and has not played a full 90 minutes in the white shirt for 530 days (since 19 December, 2021; 0-0 against Cádiz). His limited playing time this season has seen the former Chelsea player deliver lackluster performances.

€70,000 per minute

The Belgian currently earns €28M gross per season with the club desperate to shift one of the highest earners off the books and and every minute the winger has managed this season has cost the club 70,000 euros. Ahead of an active summer at the Bernabeu offices with the likes of Mariano, Odriozola and Asensio set to depart, the Belgian has made his position clear to the club hierarchy despite their desire to use the player as part of a swap deal. For one more season, coming to LaLiga benches near you.... Eden Hazard.
