Henry Martín’s record against European sides
The Mexico international has now scored against four top European sides.
Henry Martín is one of the finest strikers in Liga MX and he showed his class in Club América’s friendly with Barcelona in Dallas on Thursday.
His winning goal in the 3-2 victory for América against the Blaugrana adds to his strong record against European sides and he has now netted against Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United.
The first of the aforementioned teams he scored against was United, in a friendly match held in Phoenix in 2018. That day he netted with a header to open the scoring.
Goals against Man City and Real Madrid
Four years later, during the summer of 2022, several European teams toured the United States. In Houston, the Mexican striker found the opportunity to score against Manchester City and just six days later he did the same against Real Madrid in San Francisco.
The goal against Barcelona is therefore the fourth that the striker has scored against a top European team. The only European side he has faced and not scored against is Chelsea.
