CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
How many Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid fans are at the Champions League final at Wembley?
Wembley Stadium in London has a capacity of 90,000, although only part of that will be filled by supporters of the two teams involved.
With a capacity of 90,000, Wembley Stadium in London already holds the record for the highest attendance in a final in the Champions League era, when 87,695 fans watched Barcelona’s win over Manchester United in 2011. The 2024 clash between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid won’t beat that number, and, in fact, only a little over half of those in the crowd will be supporters of the two teams involved.
Champions League final ticket numbers: fans, general public, hospitality, corporate guests
The capacity for Saturday’s final has been capped by UEFA at 86,600, with segregation between sets of supporters one of the reasons for the number of empty seats.
For the game at Wembley, both Dortmund and Madrid were given 25,000 tickets to sell to their supporters, which means 50,000 of the fans in the stadium will be cheering on their team of choice (officially 57.7% of the total attendance).
Of course, many others could also have got their hands on seats via the general sale, which accounted for 10,000 tickets. That means 26,600 tickets were reserved for hospitality or corporate guests.
