LIGA MX
How many European players are in Liga MX?
With the arrival of Javairô Dilrosun at Club América, Mexican soccer increased the total count coming to it from the Old Continent.
Liga MX generally looks towards the South American market for reinforcements and it’s not too often that footballers from Europe arrive. The latest signing from that continent is Javairo Dilrosun with Club América, who became the eleventh European player to join the Clausura 2024.
Those 11 Europeans registered include André Pierre Gignac and Sergio Canales as the most prominent names. Gignac has become a Tigres legend since his arrival in 2015, while Rayados attempted to replicate his impact with the signing of Canales.
