The operation had been closed for days as previously reported by AS, after the north London club reached an agreement with fellow Premier League outfit Brentford for the signing of highly regarded international. How much is the David Raya to Arsenal contract?

As we have learned, Raya only arrives on loan for Mikel Arteta’s squad with an initial payment of £3 million going to Brentford. The plan, however, taking into account Financial Fair Play limits, is for The Gunners to trigger the £27m purchase option at the end of the campaign.

“David is a top-quality goalkeeper, we are adding quality and depth to our squad so we can perform at the highest possible level in all competitions,” said Edu Gaspar, Arsenal’s sporting director, welcoming him via a statement on the club’s website.

Raya is already training with Arteta and is ready to battle it out with Ramsdale for a place in Arsenal’s starting eleven.

Raya, who has featured for the national team, is another of the Spanish goalkeepers who has changed clubs this summer after Robert Sánchez (Chelsea); Kepa (Real Madrid) and De Gea, who has left United and is waiting to find a destination, possibly joining Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.
