What do the categories mean?
Category 1 ticket holders will be in central areas with the best view of the pitch. Category 2 seats are positioned either centrally but further away from the field of play, or in the corners. Category 3 tickets are further into the corners or behind the goals, and category 4 fans will be in the corners and behind the goals, with a “less favourable view” than in category 3 zones, UEFA says. Accessibility tickets are located in a number of different areas in the stadium.
Can I still buy Champions League final tickets through UEFA or one of the clubs?
No, I’m afraid not. The deadline to apply for one of the 7,500 tickets made available to the general public passed on 28 April. As for buying seats in the City and Inter sections, season-ticket holders of the two clubs were able to request an access code that allowed them to visit the UEFA website and apply for tickets from their team’s allocation of 20,000. However, both sets of supporters had until 22 May to ask for their code.
Can I get final tickets anywhere else?
Tickets can still be bought through ticket resale sites, but - as you’d expect - fans will have to pay a premium. At the time of writing, the cheapest we could find was $714 for a category 4 ticket on Ticombo. On Viagogo and Stubhub, there was nothing below $798 and $908, respectively. Both these deals were also for category 4 tickets. The least expensive category 1 seat we could find cost $1,488 on Ticombo.
