A few weeks ago Inter Miami confirmed the signing of veteran striker Luis Suárez on a one year deal with an additional season as optional. The Uruguayan international will link up with former Barça teammates, Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba with the Florida side.

“I feel very happy and excited to take on this new challenge with Inter Miami. I am ready to work and make the dream of winning more titles with this great club come true. I am optimistic about what we can achieve together,” Suárez said at the time.

The Uruguayan attacker, has just scored a total of 19 goals and 11 assists with Brazilian side Gremio and is shaping up to be the main reference point in the attack for ‘Tata’ Martino.

“I will give everything to bring joy to this great fan that they have told me so much about. I look forward to meeting great friends and players again,” said the Uruguayan striker.

The details of the contract between the Uruguayan and the club remain to be fully revealed, but reports have hinted that Suárez will be on a earnings bracket not dissimilar to that of Sergio Busquets.

After his arrival at Inter Miami, it was stated that Suárez would occupy the franchise player contract, a vacancy left by Venezuelan forward Josef Martínez; which could see the Uruguayan earn 4 million dollars a year (with the possibility of adding another potential 4 million in bonuses), however, everything indicates that he will not be DP for the Herons.
