Marco Asensio played his final game for Real Madrid on Sunday. The Spain international is now on the verge of joining PSG. Currently in Paris, he is set to complete his move to the French champions on what will be a four or five-year deal.

Premier League interest

Asensio had offers from Chelsea, Liverpool and Aston Villa on the table, but has finally opted for PSG. Luis Campos has been key in convincing him. The Portuguese sporting advisor tried to sign him last season and, finally, this season he has managed to persuade him, assuring him that he will be one of the key players in the team. The departure of Lionel Messi and the possible departure of Neymar will see Asensio play in the forward line with star man Kylian Mbappé.

PSG convince Asensio

At PSG, he is guaranteed to play in the Champions League and French club have won nine of the last eleven Ligue 1 titles. He has also taken into account the fact that Paris is closer to Mallorca than any of the English cities of the Premier League sides interested. PSG will also offer him a significant signing-on fee and he will become one of the best paid players at the Parc des Princes.
