The life of Dani Alves has taken an unexpected turn in recent weeks. After playing the first game of the Clausura 2023 with the Pumas de la UNAM, the Brazilian ended up in a prison in Barcelona after being accused of committing a sexual offense, a story that has hit headlines around the world.

What are Dani Alves’ conditions in prison?

Spanish media Cuatro al día had an interview with an inmate who shares the prison with Alves, and he revealed what life is currently like for the former Barça star inside the jail, and the treatment he receives despite his fame.

During the interview, the witness confirmed that Alves leads a normal life like all the inmates and does not enjoy any type of privileges or special treatment.

“Dani Alves is in module 13 with Coutinho [Ronaldinho’s former bodyguard], who is a friend of mine. A Brazilian,” he said. “The other day the director and assistant director took him out. They went to show him everything that is in the area of the sports zone. At 1:30 p.m., lunch time.

“But he walks around normal and ordinary. He does not lead a special life, nor does he get a special life there. They don’t treat him differently.”

Continuing with the questioning, the inmate said that Alves had distributed autographs inside the penitentiary center.

“The attitude he has is one of boredom, a lot, it is a very boring life. But he’s been playing soccer, he’s been playing with the guys there.

“The people who are with him are there for the same crime. He’s a good boy, he’s a good guy. He is super calm, they ask for his autographs,” added the prisoner.
