Ins and outs: This is Chivas’s Clausura 2026 transfer business - potential and confirmed
As Chivas Guadalajara bids to end its growing title wait, El Rebaño Sagrado is giving its roster a significant facelift.
Chivas Guadalajara has kicked off its roster overhaul ahead of the Clausura 2026, a campaign in which Los Rojiblancos aim to climb back into Liga MX’s upper echelons. With just a few weeks before the tournament begins, the changes inside El Rebaño Sagrado are already taking shape.
For now, the front office led by Amaury Vergara has secured the signings of Brian Gutiérrez and Ángel Sepúlveda, who arrive from the Chicago Fire and Cruz Azul, respectively.
Who’s leaving Chivas?
Management has essentially begun a full sweep of the roster. The exits of Javier Hernández — whose contract expired — and Cade Cowell have already been confirmed. Other players who could be on their way out include Alan Pulido, Alan Mozo, Gilberto Sepúlveda, Teun Wilke, Luis Olivas, and Isaac Brizuela.
Who could join?
In recent days, it’s been revealed that Gabriel Milito is targeting a center back, prompting the front office to scour the winter market. There was speculation about contact with Tigres defender Juan Sánchez Purata, though nothing has materialized. Another option on the table is Víctor Guzmán, who is looking to leave Monterrey in search of more playing time.
